Foh Chuan Restaurant

Today, we gonna introduce another good place, good food for good people.

Historical background of Foh Chuan Restaurant :
Mr.Wong Wen Dat is the founder of Foh Chuan Restaurant who came from China to Beaufort. Why this restaurant named as "Foh Chuan"? "Chuan" is actually a chinese word, means ship. It was suspected that the old China man came to Beaufort by ship, or maybe there is some unforgotten memories on the board. So, he used "Foh Chuan" as the restaurant name when he opened his first restaurant in Beaufort. Foh Chuan has been carried forward by second generation. One of the owner of Foh Chuan Restaurant 's brother Wong said , they were five brothers and several sisters , all find it impossible to stay in Beaufort for long term. He said that since their foods was accepted by their customers , why not move to the city? So he chose to open its first branch in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. However , they had faced with some difficulties when choosing location for their restaurant. At first, rhey was thinking to open their branch in city, but they worried about there is limited parking lots for their customers. Finally, they choose Beverly Industrial and Commercial Center, this is because there's many parking lots.

Historical background of the product sold :
Foh Chuan Restaurant selling chinese cuisine(NON HALAL). Chinese cuisine includes styles originating from the diverse regions of China, as well as from Chinese people in other parts of the world including most Asia nations. The history of Chinese cuisine in China stretches back for thousands of years and has changed from period to period and in each region according to climate, imperial fashions, and local preferences. Over time, techniques and ingredients from the cuisines of other cultures were integrated into the cuisine of the Chinese people due both to imperial expansion and from the trade with nearby regions in pre-modern times, and from Europe and the New World in the modern period. In addition, dairy is rarely—if ever—used in any recipes in the style. The staple foods of Chinese cooking include ricenoodlesvegetables, and sauces and seasonings.
